Do you know or suspect that others have been ‘borrowing’ some of your content, be it text, photos, or videos, to use on their sites without your permission? As you know writing articles is a very powerful way to get traffic and recognition. And who doesn’t want more of both to support their online marketing business? Traffic generation is the life blood of any business. Now there is one more facet you can add to your article marketing campaigns to get a little more mileage from your articles and it utilizes the power of Twitter.

You can have a Tweet posted to Twitter automatically each time you have posted an article to an article directory. You will need to get your author feed from the article directory to use for this, most good directories should provide a specific author feed. Now you can use that feed just as they provide it or you can run that feed through FeedBurner if you want to add more features like click tracking and more.

My friend Dan Blackburn has a good description on how to do this on the Article Content King Blog.
Go there and just follow his instructions. He describes how to get the feed from the Article Content King directory, but it should be similar with any on the major article directories.

Dan will take you through getting your feed and then going to a free service called Pingvine where the feed will be set up to Twit automatically every time you post a new article. How cool is that! One more way to use Twitter!

OK, I did something cool I think! It should help us research intenet marketing topics such as blog set up, making and using videos, plugins, traffic methods, any sort of ‘how to’ pertaining to building your online business.

I have set up a Custom Search on this blog. What this does is search essentially what I want it to search. My intention is to put the links to all of the Marketing With Alex students blogs in there .

Now everyone can use this to research specific topics to find the answers, tools, videos, tips and such that support what you are trying to do without having to search around manually all the blogs until you find something. So you don’t have to overload your busy mind with trying to remember who has what on their blog.

I will put a few other of my sites and others that I know and work with as well to help round it out. But is should be much more specific than searching the entire web, plus this way we frequent the groups blog more. Why not give traffic to Alex’s students blogs first, and there is a lot of good information coming on within the group all the time. The search is just over in the right side column near the top, have a try . . .

I have loaded a few of the blogs in there already, but getting all of the links take time, and as you can see I have not yet added all of the addresses in my blogroll list yet.

So if you add a comment here with your blog URL I can get it easily and I will add it to both the search and blogroll.

A little bit earlier today the Alex Jeffreys coaching group was privy to a ‘way energetic’ Video Queen. Maria Andros comes off as really energetic, upbeat and positive – as in, ignore the fear based recession talk garbage. (Oh, where have you heard that before)

Alex is a student of hers himself as video marketing is new to him as well, he’s only a couple clicks ahead of the rest of us on this, so we all learn together. Well, I took lots of notes, but will condense a lot here just to give the gist of it.

Maria Andros is known as the Video Queen and for good reason, she has it figured out pretty darn good. Part of her story is this. Because she wanted to do things differently than most she started her marketing with videos. She made about 100 grand in her first year as a stone cold internet marketing newbie selling affiliate products!

She talked about using simple YouTube videos to promote anything. Suggestions such as:

• Be yourself - and you don’t need to dress up,
• Allow your passion out - “Never apologize for your passion”
• Don’t get hung up on getting it perfect - experience will take care of that,
• Describe a problem – provide a solution
• Relate your story to the problem
• Research an pick long tail keywords you can compete in – use these on YouTube
• Recommends using Traffic Geyser to post video on multiple sites quickly
• Right before making video, get you blood pumping with movement such as jumping jacks
• . . . and much more.

Just get going and don’t worry about the quality, that will come as you gain experience.

She said,“Your mess is your message”. Meaning, be passionate and tell your story relating to the solution.

Maria says basically it’s all about “Test, tweak, and track”, create a “Conversion Machine.”

She gave us a set of action steps for getting started.

Actually almost any video camera will do, even a pc camera or even a phone! Don;t let the equipment thing stop you. However, if you are considering buying a camera she highly recommends the new HD Mino Flip camera. They are about $200 and are HD, very good quality and small. You don’t need to do as Alex did, spend $1800 for camera stuff.

Getting to hear Maria today is another example of the relationship power from getting hooked up with a fast up and comer like Alex Jeffreys. Realize it’s not just about the project we are all working on but in the relationships we can develop through this – awesome!

Through all of my 30 plus years of studying personal growth and development I have found that the most powerful way to succeed at anything is to model people who are already successful. I’m not talking about copying them, but rather taking on behaviors and traits that they have that serve their success. The difference between success and failure can be just a simple change in perspective.

You don’t need to find just one person to emulate, nor do you really want to. It is best to identify traits that several people have that you see as valuable and appealing to support your desires.

For a couple of weeks now a group of students mentoring under Alex Jeffreys has been building a community of blogs to both help each of their business’s as well as help each other as a group. This blog is one of those blogs. The system of blogs is building larger and larger as the 500 people taking Alex’s training are gradually get their blogs set up and running. If you don’t have a clue as to the potential power of such a group of people blogging together, stick around!

As a group we are putting up vast amounts of useful information not only about setting up blogs, but about all aspects of running a successful online business. We are interacting with each other gradually forming relationships which will lead to business associations. We are explaining and defining what we are doing while following the guidance of a proven online success. We are helping each other to succeed in many ways, from technical ‘how to’ to motivation. The power of many blogs linking together in various random ways will benefit everyone with their site traffic.

But here’s the thing, this group of blogs is not only a benefit to the coaching students but to anyone who gets involved. Think about it, what is the power of watching and following an already proven success formula? For those in the coaching group, I hope you see what you have developing here. As with anything, this resource must be used to be of value. Information really only has potential value, it’s only when purposeful action is applied, based on the information, that the power is released.

Yesterday daughter Julie and I traveled from California to Arizona, near Phoenix to my daughter Jens house for Christmas. With the travel, which eats up a half a day even with the short distance, and then picking up some gifts I had ordered online, I still did some blogging and Twitting. My goal is to keep it up everyday - well, we’ll see on Christmas day.

Have been blogging around the blogs of other members in Alex Jeffreys coaching program and doing some twitting as we, working on getting more interaction and traffic, but the holiday activities gobble up much attention - as it should. The family stuff is important to queeze in amungst the work efforts.

Some of the other students are getting some great products put together. I just downoaded Gary Simpson’s “Time in Motion Action Planner“. It’s a really nice planning tool, but also great for helping to identify where you are wasting time . . . don’t we all! This is a powerful feature as we need help un-doing what we don’t want to do just as we need assistance training ourselves to do what we do want to be doing. Seems simple, but the most effective things are.

Wasting time is an obvious distraction from doing what you want But once identified, one must look into why they are doing time wasting activiies. May be just an innocent habit, or could be supported by some deeper feelings, perceptions or beliefs. Take the time to identify your timewasting activities, only then can you address why and do something about it.

Tellman has a couple of really hot offers going right now that are worth looking at.

Have you heard of Armand Morin? He’s one of the most successful internet marketers around and is well known for his “Big Seminar”.

He has just launched a newsletter he swears is not going to be a bunch of rehashed marketing junk. The interesting thing is that the newsletter is free. Yes, free! Knowing Armand,the quality sould be quite good, but we can certainly expect that there will be plenty of upsell opportunities.
